I always had it in mind to do a sports car themed watch. The impetus for this particular one was a book that I read a few years ago which revolved around stealing a Ferrari 250 GTO. I think it was a Lawrence Block book, one of two Block inspired watches. And that became the basis of the watch: a red dial, white roundel hour markers and 3 side vents. The hour markers go from 13 to 24 because I noticed that most of the car numbers were two digits. Only 16 made.
